They are generally awful lately.  They had a great opportunity with Evil Dead and they blew it.  Is it just that all the good ideas are used?

Enough with the gore!  You don't need guts to make a movie.  The Blair Witch Project had it right!

I think they are two different things to me. Gory movies used to be scary but they've fallen into their own subcategory now.
